In 1885 Mr H.W.B. Davis RA built Glaslyn complete with a fine studio.

Glaslyn has a history of art with many of his oil landscape paintings depicting the beautiful mountains around the estate.

When you see the surroundings, it is no wonder that inspiration can be found here. Whilst the studio is no longer used, many visitors do come to draw and paint in the area, with a variety of subjects either within the grounds or in the surrounding area. With the river predominantly flowing west to east at Glaslyn and the properties facing south, a variety of light conditions are experienced, many quite atmospheric during early morning and the evening.
