Glaslyn and it’s cottages sit right next to the upper Wye in a wonderfully scenic spot. The fishing beat that belongs to Glaslyn consists of a single bank stretch that runs from the cottages downstream for approximately half a mile in the direction of Llanwrthwl bridge.

The fishing here is mainly for brown trout and grayling with salmon appearing towards the end of the season. This beat is only available to guests staying at the cottages and the charge is £10 per rod per week. In addition to this beat further fishing is available separately. The Craig Llyn and Dolgau fisheries beat of 2.5 miles which extends downstream from Glaslyn is available to book via the Wye and Usk Passport scheme. Call 01982 569 788 or book online

Further fishing is available upstream around and above Rhayader There is also fishing available in the reservoirs locally. This can be booked via the Rhayader and Elan Valley Angling Association.
